Some pics from my Fresh Farm Bike Tour – had a great solo ride even though it started out a group ride. I’m a slow roller what can I say… rode the 43 km in 4 hours.. got the T-shirt! Ha!!!
29 September – 43km/Rural on the Ridge a brand new flat route which has been developed in conjunction with the Hamilton Halton Brant Tourism organization. This route celebrates the rural businesses and heritage attractions at the top of the escarpment and features incredible lakefront vistas.
This ride started and finished at Ridge Road Estate Winery, 1205 Ridge Road, Stoney Creek, ON L8J 2X5.
This 43km route was flat and followed paved country roads and was suitable for all types of bikes.
The organizers provided several rest stops along the route to enjoyed the local apple cider and fruit and goat cheese.

This was my first organized group ride and I have to say I did enjoy myself. I think the only thing I would do differently if I did a group ride like this again, would be to let the organizers know in advance that I’m a very slow rider so they can be prepared in advanced to be out on the route an hour longer than expected. All in all, I was treated very well and the organizers made sure I was safe and didn’t miss out on any of the fun things along the way that day.
Thanks for joining me on this new adventure, and don’t forget to like and leave a comment. You being here and enjoying these blogs means the world to Dax and me!! We’d love to hear your thoughts.
