Great Cycle Challenge Blenheim, ON episode #8

Dax’s runners are glued and curing in the sun. Today is all pavement riding so it won’t be so hard on his paws like yesterday
Stopped for breakfast 20 km west of Blenheim Ontario
3 books were gifted to me by the store owner. I was quit grateful since I had finished reading the Jack Reacher book I had brought with me. I’d rather read while resting than be on my phone. I love getting immersed in the story and it saves on my phone batteries. I used several of these books as trade-in at the “Little Libraries “ I found in the park at Rondeau as well as one when I started my travels away from the park a few days in the future.

All packed up and ready to get back on the road
Arrived in Blenheim
Downtown community park spent most of the day resting under the shade of the park trees. Staying cool, reading and snacking. Did a google search to find an outlying park that I may be able to pitch over night in. Found one!!

Quiet little community park on the outskirts of town.
First time ever wild camping under a pavilion.. was very quiet and no one bothered us but I won’t lie, I felt a bit vulnerable being in public.. would much prefer to find a nice quiet place to tuck away where the public can’t see my tent. Out of site, out of mind

Today I was greeted with these milestones!! Dax and I are making progress!!

And now on to Rondeau Provincial Park!!
